Falling leaves, cooler temperatures, an extra hour of sleep, Thanksgiving. November is in full swing, and this month provides a feast of reasons to be aware and thankful. More familiar causes for awareness such as, ‘No Shave November’, where the focus is on men’s health, and ‘America Recycles Day’; are the more light-hearted of causes for the month.
Then, of course, we have our more widely observed November occasions to be aware as well as thankful. Veteran’s Day where we honor the many who protected and served our country. Thanksgiving where we come together and take stock of what we are thankful for.
However, did you know that the month of November has 17 nationally recognized causes designated for awareness in November? Some only a day is recognized, many involve awareness for the entire month.
