About Jahleel Vester
Growing up my parents both served in the United States Navy and we lived in Yokosuka Japan for 7 years before moving to Whidbey Island. I was 8 years old when my family received orders to be stationed at Naval Air Station Whidbey located in Oak Harbor Washington. We loved it so much that we never left and I was privileged to spend my childhood growing up in the Oak Harbor community. Wrestling was my main sport among the many that I participated in and it took me to college. After 4 years at Central College located in Pella Iowa, where I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management with a Minor in Accounting, I came back to my beautiful home town of Oak Harbor and decided that there was no better place to start my journey as a Home Loan Advisor in the mortgage industry.
Along my journey, there were 2 books that got me started in the mortgage industry. A book called “7 steps to mastering the money game” written by Tony Robbins and the second was “Rich Dad poor Dad” by Robert Kiyosaki. Those books taught me about real estate, the power of homeownership, net worth and so much more. After I completed those books I became obsessed with learning about real estate, and the many different ways to finance it. Low and behold shortly after college graduation the Lord aligned my path towards the mortgage industry and I haven’t looked back since.
Three top reasons a person would want to work with me:
1. I seek to learn the short and long term goals of my clients and their families and create a Home Loan Strategy that will accomplish their goals. I use a presentation tool called mortgage coach that helps the customer to see and understand the loan strategy that they will be committing to. Any Loan Originator that isn’t providing high-value advice in this way is underserving their client and cannot be considered a Home Loan Advisor. Period. (I don’t look to fit a person into a mortgage I want the mortgage to fit to them)
2. I provide mortgage advisory services and accountability helping people to create a game plan to get into homeownership. The timeline is not important, the goal is. Whether the client will be ready in 30 days, 3 months, or 3 years I’m willing to consult with anyone that is serious about changing their life through homeownership.
3. I work with a team of highly qualified individuals with a combined 35+ years of experience in the mortgage industry. Each of my clients will have the full support of a highly trained and experienced staff that will see to it that my client's loan closes on schedule and on budget every time.
As a loan officer, my strongest qualities are that I am very personable and I enjoy turning clients into lifelong friends. I’m passionate about providing & presenting high-quality advice to my clients and ensuring that the mortgage program we decide on meets their short term and long term financial goals. And if I don’t know the answer to a special case scenario I will research guidelines to see what can be done. I will only turn a deal down if I know for certain that all options were exhausted.
When I’m not working you can find me enjoying staying fit, running, fishing, and backpacking trails. I’m turning into a nature junkie. I really enjoy getting the most out of the pacific northwest’s trails, forests, and fishing spots. 91% of the time If I’m not working out or exploring the great outdoors, I’m probably traveling somewhere making memories with the lovely Mrs. Vester.
Finally, I know this job is not easy on family life because I share so much of myself and invest so much of myself in the pursuit of continually improving my customer and Realtor experience. Providing the best experience to my Realtors and clients is a point of passion and pride to me. It takes a sacrifice to do this, not just for myself but for my family as well. The reason it is all worth it to me is that this job is not just a job to me. It’s a calling. The Pioneer of my faith taught Love and Service and those are the qualities that I strive to express in my business.
